![]() ![]() If you put a jet in and it seems to want to die when you rev it and not really want to go anywhere while warming up very Fast then Increase the jet size again till the plug looks good. This whole thread is about jetting when the simple answer is, Put a jet in it, Take if for a spin, If it splutter's and ride's like shit and the plug is wet then drop the jet down, Continue to do so until the spark plug looks good. 50mph is a good speed! You can't expect these things to pull like a train all the way to 60-70-80 as some claim there's do. Not being funny here but there a 50cc Rev&Go. But with air box restriction his scooter slow down when speed is 50 and more. He changed main jet to 80 and sparking plug become white. My friend use 95 main jet without air box restriction. This setup should also get you 80 miles to the tank. With that setup you should be hitting 50mph and possibly 55mph downhill. With a low end performance pipe (LV TT) you'll be looking around a 64-66. ![]() Stock main jet size is 56 if your running the stock pipe but de-restricted you'll be looking at around a 60 main jet. Without a 70cc kit removing the airbox restriction is pointless, your just wasting fuel. Next our step is to set smaller main jet. We bought brand new Aprilia SR50 with carburetor. He move faster after 30 km and He passing me. He had exactly my problem while ideling he open acceleration to full position engine is stop. He changed exhaust pipe to Technogas RS2 Chrom and remobe de-restriction from it. He removed washer, air restriction from air box and from carburetor and set main jet with size 70. The end of the exhaust pipe is little bit wet (oil or something like this) and when i touch it i stained my finger in something black (possible it is soot). But if i turn accelerator to full open postition while engine is idleing engine is stoped. Is it bad that i removed air restriction from air box? I removed washer from variator, air limiter from carburetor and air box restriction and set main jet with size 68. ![]()
